Antonio Thornton
Antonio Thornton serves as the Site Leader for Highfives’s Restorative Community Schools in the Appoqunimink School District. Prior to his role with Highfive. Antonio was a Youth Development Director for the Bear Glasgow YMCA. In this role, Mr. Thornton coordinated alt teen programs, provided assistance for the before and aftercare programs oversaw 16 sites and supported 400 students in the summer camp program.
Over the past 20-plus years, Mr. Thornton has dedicated his career to working with young people. Mr. Thornton planned and implemented a variety of community initiatives and events with the help of teen volunteers through YMCA programming Through his commitment to servant leadership, he has worked with parents, teachers, Wilmington Head Start, Devereux Behavior Health Facility, The Boys and Girls Club of Delaware, and a private Christian school as an Out-of-School Time Director During his career, Mr. Thornton works has intersected with the lives of many young people. These intersections have had a lasting positive impact on children and on Mr. Thornton. Most important, Mr. Thornton is a loving husband and father of five, and he loves spending time with his church family.
